Frequently Asked Questions

What ages does Imber serve?

Most of our clients join Imber after their post high programs, but we are able to serve adults 18 years and older.

What type of clients does Imber serve?

We serve individuals receiving services through DSPD’s Home and Community-Based Waiver. If individuals receiving these services are interested in determining if Imber is a good fit, we invite them to visit.

What happens during inclement weather?

Many of Imber’s community activities are indoors. We partner with local businesses, rec centers, and libraries to ensure we always have safe locations to shield our clients and staff from the elements.

How do you handle lunch?

Clients pack their lunches and bring them to program. On certain days, clients may bring money to eat out and a variety of community locations.

What are program and activity fees?

The cost of the program and transportation costs are covered by the individual’s DSPD budget. Most community activity costs are included. Certain optional activities may have an additional charge. Imber may request Imber clients to obtain certain rec center passes or UTA reduced fare passes.

What are the hours of Imber’s Day Program?

Most clients come from approximately 9 AM – 3 PM. Extended hours are available upon staffing and funding availability. Imber is open most Mondays through Fridays except for scheduled closures and holidays.
